Big Changes for Spring Hill Bakery

We are making some big changes at Spring Hill Bakery, and I want to take time to just share our story, give you an update, and just share my heart with you.

This will be our last week at Rippavilla Plantation, Tues-Sat 8a-4p. Don’t worry, we aren’t closing for good! We are simply scaling back. You’ll still be able to get your bread and cookies at Thompson’s Station Farmers Market at Homestead Manor on Wed 10-2, Spring Hill Farmers Market on Thur 3-7, and TSC Sat 9-12. You can still place orders for pick up or delivery on one of our scheduled days (schedule TBA).

Cooking Show 3: Steak Sandwich

Recipe: French Onion Steak Soup

  • 1 lb Steak (NY Strip)
  • Kosher Salt
  • Black Pepper
  • 2 TBSP Butter
  • 2 Large Onions (thinly sliced)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 TBSP Flour
  • 1 Bottle Belgian Ale
  • 4 Cups Beef Broth
  • 1 Small Bundle Fresh Thyme
  • 1 Bay Leaf
  • Kosher Salt to Taste
  • Spring Hill Bakery Sourdough (Loaf or Soup Boules)
  • Shredded Cheese (Gruyere & Gouda)
