8th & Roast
Bakery Blend Coffee
Our Bakery Blend Coffee is the perfect blend of Brazil Villa and Costa Rica Willows and roasted to pair just right with our Spring Hill Bakery deliciousness!
The Brazil Villa beans comes to the 8th & Roast roasting facility in Nashville, TN from the Cerrado growing region of Brazil via Daterra Farms which is one of the more lauded coffee growing regions in Brazil due to its high altitude plateaus and its semi-humid, tropical climate. Villa is grown between 3,000 and 4,000 feet, and it is processed using the pulped natural method. The coffee cherry’s skin is peeled off, and the seeds are left to dry inside the pulp until the ideal moisture content is achieved. The Brazil Villa is roasted dark enough to provide the depth and body necessary to balance the brightness of the Costa Rica.
The other bean is Costa Rica Willows which comes from the Naranjo region of Costa Rica via Hacienda Miramonte. This farm was started by a woman named Lucila Duval de Morales in 1917! This coffee is grown between 3,280-3,950 ft., and is an incredibly dense coffee bean as a result of the high elevation. The coffee is processed using the washed method, and has a very clean flavor profile. It’s sweet and citric acidity compliments the depth and body of the Brazil Villa making it a perfect blend!
